What can I say about myself. It's been awhile since I had this profile but I guess I'll tell you a bit about me.

I'm just a strange 26 yr old who knows what he wants out of life for the most part. While I tend to be a big video game fanatic, don't let that scare you from my fun and social side that I have. I try to have fun in everything that I do unless it's school in which case I make the most of it even though I don't want to be there. LOL!!! I do have a bit of social time but it isn't a lot due to working a part-time job while looking for something full-time and dealing with my family (who can be a pain but also can be the people I can count on for just about anything). I've been thinking about my future and decided that education is the route that I plan to go. I'm done with my undergrad and I get to take some time off for about a year before it's back to school for my teaching degree. Which school is up to me to decide but I'm thinking of going to DePaul. Not sure though but we'll see what happens. I'll make sure to keep everyone posted here.

i'm post college. a true southsider. if your not from chicago you might not understand. i prefer to hang out with some close friends as apposed to hanging out with a lot of people i don't know. a night home is usually better than going out, of course it depends on the company.

I am a teacher and spend most of my week-nights at home grading papers, cleaning, cooking, working out, reading, and relaxing. I recently joined a kickboxing, pilates, and yoga class. Games, live bands, camping, bean bags, frisbee, movies, hanging out, I am open to pretty much anything as long as it is with positive and fun company.

I think what makes me unique is my deep compassion for others and willingness to help those in need or less fortunate. I also feel that I am very family oriented, and would prefer spending my weekend playing games with my family than going out to the bar with friends.

What to start with...
Well, I'm 21 years old (for a few more months), I have 5 brothers and no sisters (people think that's crazy - but I love it!), I'm about 6'1'' (which makes me a very tall girl lol), I love just being myself and having a good time. I'm currently finishing up the last term of my schooling. I'm working in a veterinary practice as a technician as well as my part time job, a shift manager at Oberweis.

I'm just getting out of the Air Force, coming back to the Chicago suburbs to start school and get ready for my career! I will be learning to be a doctor specializing in emergency medicine or pediatrics. I love working with kids in general! Before I enlisted in the military I worked as an EMT, and that was the job I went for after entering. High pressure situations are where our personalities shine brightest, and I want to continue to do what I believe to be right by moving forward in the field of emergency care! I love being active in a lot of things...Church, family, friends. I have a great passion for sports and pushing myself. My favorite two are hockey and soccer. I'm working to get back into playing shape right now, and hopefully I can join an ice league next season.

I dance between emotional extremes a lot, which is a driving force behind most of what I do and who I am. I have a clear sense of right and wrong that springs from my faith, and I think it necessary to say what I think or feel, as long as it is within circumstance. I like cutting loose and having fun with whoever I'm around, but I also find enjoyment in working hard and getting tasks done.

Gosh, where to start. I work in editing, layout and design at a small publishing company. When I can, I enjoy spending time out in nature and learning more about the local wildlife. (Which isn't to say I don't like learning about non-local wildlife! Animal Planet is my favorite channel!) I'm a casual birder and have recently gotten more serious about my botanical art. I'm into anime, manga, Disney animation, console RPGs, and speculative fiction -- that is to say, fantasy, horror and science fiction, especially fantasy, more especially urban fantasy, both the Emma Bull sort (fairy war in Minneapolis) and the Jim Butcher sort (solving supernatural mysteries in the city), though I've pretty much given up on Laurell K. Hamilton at this point. Other hobbies include fanfic and cardmaking.

Well, I should probably start by saying that I really don't enjoy writing self summaries. Although, this is a good way to make my boss think I am working when I'm not, so I guess it's not all that bad. Let's see . . . about me . . . I recently got laid off from my long time job - major bummer. Now I spend my time doing temp work to pay the bills. It's not very exciting but I'm an avid people watcher and so far the temping provides some excellent subjects! Let's see . . . what else? I don't like to think about a world without music - not all of it of course, but in general. I sing in a blues/soul/funk band and I thoroughly enjoy it. I don't go out too often, since I work a 9-5 but I do what I can to enjoy the weekends, which usually means having a few drinks. I dig a good dive bar - especially when whiskey is involved.
